Enabling two-factor verification (2FA)
Two-factor verification (2FA) is the vault for your account: even if someone discovers your password, they can’t touch your money without the code from your authenticator app.
What you’ll need
Section titled “What you’ll need”An authenticator app on your phone, for example:
- Google Authenticator
- Authy
- Microsoft Authenticator
Step by step
Section titled “Step by step”- Go to Settings → Security.
- Click Enable 2FA.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (or enter the manual key).
- Enter the 6-digit code that appears in the app and confirm.
Done! From now on, sensitive actions will ask for this code.
Switching phones or disabling
Section titled “Switching phones or disabling”To disable 2FA, for security we ask for your current password + a valid 2FA code. This prevents anyone with access to your session from removing your protection.
